The brother isn't perfect but at least he is trying in a good faith honest way to help young black boys advance in school and i give applause and kudos to that.

Individualize the kids, learn their interests, relate those interest to a career path and encourage them to pursue that career as an option. It’s really not that deep.

This is really it.

Children actually do have interests outside of The Norm, but they don’t know how to develop those interests.

I know that was the case for me when I was young.
I had a particular interest that I thought was just a weird curiosity…I didn’t find out until much later as an adult that it could’ve been a career. I didn’t even know it had a name. But if I knew then what I know know maybe things would’ve been different.

Damn. It’s really crazy out here how they programming these kids

Babble. He described every teenage boy regardless of race. Tbe difference between black boys and non black boys is that black boys often:
1) don't have summer job opportunities and apprenticeships.
2) parents don't read to black boys from a young age
3) the most critical ages are 13 to 18. Again, no summer jobs for black boys, apprenticeships or mentoring are available during those years.

Excellent video.
Not even close.

A good example of this is how basic labour's related summer jobs that black boys used to get are now being taken by immigrant youth like Latinos. You'll see latino kids being able to make money in high school and not have to join gangs or scam because they got summer jobs.

if you want to focus on the murder rap, that's fine. I won't argue that, but I can't get mad at kids for liking sports and video games in 2023.

people change as they get older, I was not into reading until I got to college pretty much.
If elementary school aged kids are not interested in reading, that’s largely the parents’ fault. Most kids exposed to reading very early seem to keep that habit, at least through elementary school.
