Life is absurd. Lean into it.
Role models matter. Seeing black success as @Drinky Crow and @The Fade put it is key. Nothing wrong inherently with wanting to be an athlete or a rapper, but the more examples you see growing up, the less you put all of your eggs in one basket for success. For a lot of black kids it's entertainment or bust. Playing those odds is a recipe for failure.

you go to any black school (college/HS) and what do you see?
if youre black the pressure is on you to be "cool".
where as in other cultures the pressure is to be smart, nerdy, etc...

I agree with you 100% I experienced that as a nerdy black kid. I'm an engineer and want to see more of US in tech. Definitely agree with you.

As a collective we need a platform. A platform where we promote the best black talent in a multitude of fields to set as a successful template for young black men.
Hire mentors as role models to implement and instruct ideas that will kickstarter the potential energy of young black men.
Referral books that will push them, inspire them and motivate them. Reading in general for them to understand the fundamentals of education.
Discuss what their VARK strategies. VARK = visual auditory reading and kinesthetic. By introducing these strategies, young black individuals can decide which one is their biggest strength and their biggest weakness. Pick one and capitalize on it as a career choice.

Every word this brother said was facts and on point but yet within a couple posts he's being called a "fukk n1gga" by other black men.
I wouldn't expect anything less from this site.
This site is compromised of mostly surface level thinkers. Very very very few deep thinking individuals post here and threads like this is a shining example.
Media propaganda and the use of entertainment to socially engineer/ program the black mind is one of their most effective weapons.
It's so effective for example that an entire generation of black men now PURPOSELY walk around in public with their pants sagging and ass out like brainless subhumans because they've been programmed to think it's "cool"

While I agree with the effort we have to acknowledge white boys are listening to the exact same music, playing the exact same videogames, behaving in very similar anti-social ways, and instead of aspiring to be rappers/athletes they're aspiring to be streamers. White male enrollment rates in college are plummeting, and something wild is happening with American boys and young men right now. But peep where the disparities are between black boys and white boys - school performance, suspensions, arrests. There's certainly a social aspect of this where black parents and communities need to be doing a better job, and there's certainly a "justice" problem with the school-to-prison pipeline. A lot of it's about disparities. But I'm not sure how you address this without mothers and fathers in the home...

Sounds like this is a cop-out. I'd be extremely concerned if this person was my child's teacher. I'm definitely home-schooling my kids if I become a father one day

Those things are important if your lifes purpose is to compete with the European. In who can create the most destructive devices and posion the most people,and destroy the planet they live on the best. But show me how dominance in math,tech,medicine by other races benefit any other race than the European in this country
? Last I checked,America still belongs to the white man. Despite asians,indians,africans doing well for themselves for a long time in those fields. Unless some pro black scientist is going to create the next atom bomb and keep it specefically for black people as leverage. There is no power as a community in those fields you listed
