External HD with mac/pc help

I been using this HD for a minute with my mac exsclusively, but my macbook has just stopped working. Got a desktop pc, how can i get my shyt off my hd if it was only formatted for mac only? is there a way around it?

if it's FAT32, Windows should be able to read it. but if it's HFS, you'll need a 3rd party program, like this:
