Or we can assume... that this kayfabe storyline has people legit stumped as to what the fukk is going on and it's hilarious.

Or we can factor in the idea that having three heels in a triple threat match as the main event of a WrestleMania is the fukkin' dumbest thing anyone could do, and not even Vince Russo let alone Vince McMahon would book that. And so, leaves the other option of having the most popular star in the company in the triple threat with the two heels... AKA the LIKELY option.
