Who’s talking about service truck electricians? I never said that. I’m talking about the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Not someone that comes to your house and wires lightbulbs.

This union talk. I work with dudes going home with 150k after taxes yearly.

I’m looking for the contract agreements to show you the hourly wages.

Electrician: Lineman and wireman
Journeyman
Foremen
General Foreman $32.90 to $42.95
$36.10 to $43.81
$41.13 to $46.50
Electrician: Telecommunications
Journeyman Technician $24.61 to $42.46 (depending on number of pieces of equipment”

“A journeyman is the title given to someone who finishes their apprenticeship in many trade unions, and a journeyman in the IBEW Local 98 earns $106,121 per year, based on the reported hourly wage. That’s for a member of the union.”

Even if they was making $32 an hour that ain’t bad but IBEW EATS WELL in the tri state.
That’s the amount they take home per year if they employed the whole year. Look up the numbers of how many brehs are sitting home unemployed calling the union hall everyday to see if there any job postings. Unions always looking for new members cuz those new members pay DUES. Trust me breh I’m in Syracuse lots of union cats in NY state hurting cuz there’s no work

I cuz did one of these apprenticeships a few years ago. Changed his life. He was able to buy a house and a motorcycle in only 2-3 years in LA county.

I will say. You need a reliable car & something to cover your seats. My cuz was driving around oc county, la county & inland empire.

Do they have this kind of shyt for anywhere further south? Specifically Texas, Tennessee, or states around them?

Y’all really got to take the initiative to google:
Local Unions

Apprenticeships in Texas for Welders, Cutters, & Welder Fitters at My Next Move

If you are willing to travel in the USA or the world you can make $100-200k+ Yearly welding. Save money and get your own rig and stack bread.

I knew an old head, he was a welding inspector and he was loaded. Made 250K literally doing nothing but driving a buggy around drinking coffee watching other welders work.

Don’t know what’s going on in Syracuse but there is a ton of infrastructure work going on in the tri-state right now. And more planned in the coming years.

When there is no work you do get unemployment and some unions offer a supplemental.

Technically NO!

You gotta know basic math and how to read a basic diagram and how to follow instructions.

The apprenticeship is 2 years they teach you everything you need to know!

I want my brehs to eat!! The unions in the tri state ain’t going away no time soon.

I worked with 2 black dudes that were linemen and they were making out $100 hr plus $100 a day every day for housing/travel/food cost. It was a special FEMA project but dude said he was gonna ride that for 9mths and take 6mth vacation. His house in Texas was paid for so he was stacking bread!

Linemen is a whole other trade breh. A few union brehs will be making $46 plus OT but ol boy in a service truck working for abc electric is making $28-32 an hour with no OT. And that’s the majority of electricians. Stop the false advertising

Come on with the bullshyt man. The Brother is putting Black people up on possible career opportunities that you don’t need all kinds of degrees to get into. That should be good enough without the armchair critique.

Man don’t get distracted going back and forth over nothing. Preciate what you did. Made me look into the situation here and they’re hiring for organizing apprenticeships starting at 44.

2 unions in NJ are having apprenticeship hirings next month!

The operator engineer union is looking to add 250 new apprentices but they only giving out 250 applications and it’s 1st come 1st serve. People sleep outside for these. No bullshyt! Black men and women you gotta apply! These jobs will change your life. 100k plus easily after your paid apprenticeship is over! Benefits and pensions.

The other union is the electricians union and they pay similar if not better. Also many opportunities to get out of the field of you go for an engineering degree. Some union electrical engineers can make 200k+

Here are the links. Go fill out the applications ASAP! I’d move to the area if I lived out of state and got accepted that’s how much these jobs are worth.

http://www.iuoe825.org/tag/apprentice/ the dates are in the link address also. Take the day off and go.

Apprenticeship

Call and find out when they are giving out the applications.

These jobs will change your life but you have to be proactive, there is a lot of nepotism and :mjpls:but fukk that push thru that bullshyt and get to the money.

I’m down for sleeping outside for my spot in line. How early should I get there breh? :lupe:
