If someone is going to criticize wilt It would be that he played in a much faster pace higher scoring era with more possessions compared to today. Not Competetion at postion

Anyone who disputes that Wilt would compete and probably be the best big man in the game today if he played just are haters or havent watched the tapes that exixt. It's clear as day that a prime 7'1 275 pound Wilt would be dominant in any era with that athleticism and grace on the court. No way would he average 50 and 20 plus rebounds in a season. But i dont think it's a stretch that he would be a 30 and 15 type player in his prime. Which is pretty much what Shaq was in his heyday if he would have banged the boards a little more. Im pretty sure the average centers height today is not to different from back then. Its not like a 7 footer starts for every team in the league. I dont know why some people hate on these older players when their is actually visual evidence that a lot of them like Wilt Kareem Big O werent just slow methodical players and only dominated because they were big. But i also have had someone tell me that they saw Wilt's entire 100 point game in its entirety on NBA TV (though im damn near 100 percent sure that said video does not exist) and that the biggest man guarding him that night was probably 6'5.

His 100 point game was never filmed - nobody has seen it except the 3 or 4 thousand that showed up to the Hershey Arena in PA the night he did it. And Darryl Imhoff (the guy guarding Wilt) was 6-10 w/o shoes and 230lbs - about the size of Chris Bosh or Tyler Zeller, and late in his career Imhoff played against Kareem. Kareem never dropped anywhere near 100 on him. I don't even think Kareem reached 50 on him.

Some scaled examples of Wilt and some of the centers he played against along side Dwight, Kevin Love, Lebron and Shaq.

Small/White competition = Myth

Players at the other positions are definitely bigger now tho

:wow:

I wish I could've seen dudes prime. Incredible Athlete also keep in mind how nasty he would be on a modern training regimen. A lot of his physique was natural.

i mean he really had no competition bunch of 5'11 white guys vs him

couldnt do that in todays nba :mjpls:

Shut up stupid. How many 5'11" centers did you see in that video. Plus if all it takes is a couple inches of height to dominate How come Yao Ming aint dominate. How come Shawn Bradley aint dominate.

Sit ya goofy ass down...:heh:

Your sarcasm detector is out of battery breh. Recharge that.

Keeping the thread going: it's ridiculous that no one is averaging 20/10 this season. Wilt would add to his total of 20,000 bytches every night on the court.
