As I get older I realize it's all about bridging the gap... And in a time where we see it happen if even for a small moment... So and so's streams rise after Verzuz battle... It's still a beautiful thing because it doesn't happen often in HipHop.
The audience is NATURALLY dismissive of "old heads" and legends sadly. And the way our shyt is framed.... I don't even see too many ppl exempt from this line of thinking... Mayybbe Snoop.
But I say all that to say... Someone old as Akademiks... And with the platform/influence he got... especially with youngsters... Just flip the coin and peep it from the other side... If he big upped pioneers or even suggested ppl to listen...how quick rapid and effective it could be... If even.for just a small temporary moment
