Been known about Tom Hardy since Inception. I've seen warrior, tdkr, lawless and i think that's it with him in it. Wasn't impressed with Lawless at all, which was a surprise. Hardy was good in it though. I feel like he is a very good actor who has done some good films. One black actor that we could also say does good work is Idris Elba. He might not be as famous as everyone, but he always seems like he's about his business whenever i see him.

Lawless was a misguided movie due to the usual Weinstein interference, who thought it was a good idea to make a Nick Cave-penned John Hillcoat-directed movie more 'mainstream' (eg. changing the title, focus on Shia LaBeouf instead of Tom Hardy's character, which would be like if The Proposition focused on the kid brother instead of Guy Pearce). Then at test screenings audiences were pretty much unanimous in how much they preferred the parts focusing on Tom Hardy over Shia LaBeouf, which made Weinstein give in and allow Hillcoat to salvage as much as he could, but it could no longer be the movie it should've been.
