People are very short sighted (especially liberals) and think we already live in utopia. Just because you may not have a reason to use a gun today does not mean you won't have a reason tomorrow. The world changes constantly and governments have proven time and time again that they will oppress their people at one point in time or another. To pretend it "can't happen in this day and age" is ignorant as fukk.

Idk if some of yall really grasp how many fukking guns there are in America. Australia's buyback numbers wouldn't even put a dent in the number of guns in any region of the U.S. All a national buyback program would do would is line the pockets of the gun industry by driving up demand.
This as well. You can't expect any government, especially one as beholden to special interests as ours, to have your best interests at heart. Owning a gun and knowing how to use it are logical responses to this.

There is already more guns in America than people so this has nothing to do with a dystopian scenario or militas.

the dystopian scenario would be the US government attacking its populace (in order to do what, I don't know? Illuminati? Extermination? I guess the rest of the world would sit back and watch? Maybe join in? Caliphate?)

America's unique gun deaths are a cultural issue which you don't understand.
How did the Syrian rebels fight against Assad and his big guns and big planes? Are we pretending that if the government went to war with its people, that our soldiers would ALL remain on the governments side? Really breh. The easiest example of the necessity for guns in this country is the plight of the blacks. You gonna sit there and tell black people they shouldn't have guns in a time where the government (police) keeps killing innocent blacks? For real?
How would these same people fare against our government if they had NO fire power at all? I'm Russian and Jewish. Theres literally nothing you could tell me to take my guns. My Russians were brutalized by their own dictator. The Jews were brutalized by Hitler after he TOOK ALL OF THEIR WEAPONS. You think that this world has evolved so much in the last 100 years but we really haven't. Being able to protect yourself is survival at its basics. I trust myself for my protection rather than imagining the government has my back at all times. Its been proven time and time again that shyt happens and to ignore that in the hopes of "everybody gets along theres no need for gun protection" is silly.

Syria's military isn't 1/100th as powerful as ours, and you better believe the US keeps close ties with Israel and the UK so that if something popped off they could call on them to have troops on the ground here in the states.
If 75% of black people started getting guns legally you better believe there would be gun reform in the US.

If there was a US rebellion/revolution, you better believe our govt. would ask for troops from it's allies
