I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I'm glad to see that the close minded posters were kept to a minimum in this thread. I'm also glad to see Tool and Dead Kennedys getting some love.

*gives thread 5 stars*

LMAO fukk outa here with that whiny ass poor excuse for rock music

and as far as Tool goes... this IMO is their 3rd best album

Undertow and AEnima are MUCH better i think
You ain't lying...
I overlooked Undertow because I discovered Tool with Aenima (and then liked the following LPs) but I decided to give it an ear again after your post and it's suprisingly good : Bottom, 4°, Swamp Song or Intolerance got me :krshd:

And as for the Punk/Metal comparisons in this thread. Well I like myself some Hives and early Green Day from time to time but metal fits me better. It's just one's preference, don't need to talk down on another poster for its taste choices...

By the way, Tool's cover of Led Zep's No Quarter is great if you never listened to it :

Well music evolves...
You can't compare 80's punk to 2000's punk. It's obvious it won't sound the same. If The Hives's Barely Legal ain't punk rock, I don't know what punk is then :yeshrug:

what?
listen to this shyt man:
Dead Kennedys - Drug Me - YouTube

Trash.I wont say I've listened to the most punk rock (outside of Blink 182 :guilty:)...but out of the punk i have listened to Husker Du is good for a few songs. The rest is just drivel. I'm gonna give bad religion a try soon though.

One of my fave album covers

When its good its good . Other times its

Grunge > all anyways. :lolbron:

The riffs in alternative (broad term so shyt like the Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth) and grudge are just much better. The vocals are better too.

Breh that is the same thing i was tryna tell these cats about Green Day and Blink in another thread. But to them if it isnt hardcore punk...its too poppish and not punk at all :shaq2:
