I didn't know there were so many, presumably, black Tool fans.

I always thought of Tool as pretentious progressive metal bullshyt that people sneered at and feral unwashed fans of the caucasian persuasion.

Well it's whatever you're into I suppose :yeshrug:

LMAO fukk outa here with that whiny ass poor excuse for rock music

and as far as Tool goes... this IMO is their 3rd best album

Undertow and AEnima are MUCH better i think

Undertow and Aenima are neck and neck. Aenima slightly edges it out but I havent listened to Undertow as much yet.

All I know is Lateralus is miles ahead of both to me. I can name my favourite songs on Undertow and AEnima quite easily: Bottom/Undertow and Eulogy/Stinkfist. On Lateralus, literally every song is in contention man.

Ticks and Leeches
The Grudge
Parabola
Schism
Lateralus
Even Disposition has me feeling like :ahh:
Reflection, The patient

All songs are 5/5

The drum work is
The riffs are dynamic. They change it up so much in the matter of one song.
The voice effects are :ooh:. That yell on the grudge is fukkin powerful

Listening to Lateralus feels like a journey, the lyrics are so clever and relateable too.

Categorizations mean shyt to me...I dont care what kind of rock or metal it is because good music is good music.

How anybody can call this bullshyt is beyond me

shyt I downloaded the album 4 months ago because of Schism but didnt find myself enjoying the other songs. They were too long and started off slowly so Id skip to the middle to get a feel of the song. I wish I could remember the instance where I was finally able to digest this masterpiece.

Next up is Dark Side of the Moon

Yeah. I actually gave it a good four minutes. The vocals are just way too corny for me.

I admire their musicianship and their technical ability like I do a lot of metal music I hear in passing by, but that doesn't always translate into good music unfortunately.

But you're just discovering Dark Side of the Moon so you don't listen to a lot of rock I'm assuming :yeshrug:

One of the GOAT albums.

Everything about it is dangerously close to perfect.

Danny Carey on the drums is :salute:

Yea not much. Verrry selective. As of right now there's probably only 10-15 bands that I listen too. Outside of a couple bands and albums growing up...I really only started listening to rock 5 years ago.

I see, well Dark Side of the Moon should be a good first listen. When I first heard "Time" :wow:

Not sure what happened to my comments on this.
Anyway,...
Lateralus = best album of this Gen and the past fifteen to twenty years, arguably.
