I really liked not having a conventionally attractive female lead.

It'd be really fun to play within an "ugly duckling" story arc and choosing / chasing / leveling up vanity.

Dave talking about high cheekbones kind of feels like a nudge in that direction. They're clearly aware she isn't winning any pageants.
