Yeah...only took bout 10 seconds of due diligence and common sense to debunk this fugazzi article (why would some random piece on SB nation be the first to break a story on Dwight implying he would leave :beli: )....the actual source material is here:

Denton: Dwight Speaks Out About Time in Orlando and Reasons For Wanting to Leave (Part 2) | THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE ORLANDO MAGIC

And it's in the context of Dwight talking about his decision to leave Orlando, in comments he made in advance of last night's game against the Magic

Do better Coli

The source material is already linked in the SBNation article and it doesn't change the topic of what we've been discussing at all.

And while he said it upset him having to divorce himself from the Magic and the Orlando fan base, Howard, 26, said his decision to leave ultimately came to being where he thought he had the best chance to win. And Howard, who can become an unrestricted free agent in July, even hinted that if he didn’t think he could win in L.A., he would move on from Southern California in the summer.

``You only get one shot. People might not ever understand that, but at the end of the day it’s not their life. You can’t let anybody else dictate how they want your life to be,’’ he said. ``I only have one shot to play and do something that I love. Not everybody is blessed and have an opportunity to do what they love.

``So I want to do it the best that I can and I’m going to take everything in I can to get what I can out of the NBA. Which, for me, is winning a championship,’’ he added. ``So if I have to play on another team or do whatever I have to do to get one, that’s my goal. This is my passion, so I’ll continue to fight.’

SMH @ the idea of Derrick Rose having to deal with this smiling fool. It's preposterous.

:ld: You're right...carry on :mjpls:

Actually take that back...just actually watched the interview, and it's like i thought initially...he's referencing his decision to leave the Magic...the bit about being a free agent and hinting about leaving the lakers are complete liberties taken by the writer that I don't see when actually listening to what Dwight said...the entire interview is solely focused on his time with the magic and the "go to another team" part was him rhetorically explaining his decision to ultimately leave to magic fans who might not understand an athlete only has one career....potentially leaving the lakers was never mentioned nor implied

Non story...and it took like 5 minutes of due diligence instead of 10 seconds, my bad

Love is in the first year if his 3 year deal I believe. So you would like to wait? I been waiting since 98 I'm tired of waiting

Absolutely :ld: Sometimes being patient can work out in the long run. I'd rather have someone that wants to be on the team then someone whose gonna jump from team to team. Plus, Love has shown interest in the Bulls in the past. :whoo:

:skip: Fixed

Seriously tho, this dude is probably the most pathetic athlete in all of professional sports. Horrible competitor, overrated, lazy, and a straight up coward.

:skip: Spurs out here playing for second place

I'd rather be outright old and flabbynsick than know I'm going to the WCF or Finals just to bow out

Broke, stop it bruh. Don't do it. If I have my fan hate on, I say Spurs 13 title lock. If I'm being objective, I'd say we can easily come out of the west, but I don't see us beating the Heat...but it is possible. But there's no question that they're an elite NBA team.

The Lakers don't even look like a playoff team right now. And their future is not looking bright. At least the Spurs still have an all-star who's 30. The Lakers are :flabbynsick: across the board.

Mike Antoni :flabbynsick:
Gasol :flabbynsick:
Dwight Howard :flabbynsick: and bytchmade
Jamison :flabbynsick:
Steve Nash :flabbynsick:
Metta Worldpeace :flabbynsick:
Kobe 34 and one awkward fall away from :flabbynsick:

Your whole damn record label :flabbynsick:

And the guy handling the reigns right now is new Al Davis of the NBA. Y'all are done.
