Facebook: Greatest Pump and Dump?

Nah bruh. FB is here to stay.

I've been on there since 04. And even though I dont check it much anymore, it's there, and people will always need a social network site.

If another one comes out, I'm not gonna sign up for it b/c I have too history on facebook.

Thats why they brought out that timeline thing that shows all ur years on there. They just wanna keep people long term....and on top of that, too many companies run ads thru facebook.

Twitter is cool, but theres too many bots and fake profiles

The thing is, companies are finding out that people aren't "Clicking" on the adds. So where will the money come from? thats why FB is trying new things because they know they can't stay in business with what they are doing right now.

The big difference between Google and FB is the mindset of the user when they go to the site. When you go to Google, you are looking/searching for things, so if something you are looking for leads you to a company thats selling a product that matches your interest you dont care.

With FB, you dont go on there because you are looking for something, you dont want to be bothered with ad's. You just want to talk to family/friends.
And FB is here to stay, i'm not 100% sure. In 20 yrs or so we may have a totally different view of social networks.

Also If Microsoft didn't have money invested in facebook, I truly believe they would of intergrated something into their OS that lead you to their own social networking platform, like they are starting to do with Bing.

Facebook doesn't make money from you joining though. The other day the CFO or CIO, I can't remeber her name. Was doing a speech at harvards graduation and she talked about how they "Need people to click on ads".

People can keep joining all they want, Facebook still needs a way to make money off "YOU".

That's what was said about MySpace. People forget how huge MySpace was. You don't think people had a lot of history on that site?

People started to move over to FB because it was less of a hassle. No kid drama to deal with.. no stupid ass profiles that didn't load.. Plus, it was more group friendly with the homepage and for a while it felt "exclusive".

A lot of that has worn off. People's parents on there now? lol.. Most people deaded their MySpace because they had to go where all their friends had gone. If something new came out where 75% of your friends were now using that instead of FB you would have no problem saying "fukk Facebook"

As the years gone by, fb to me, has regress with every update and changes they make. Their mobile site and their phone app is beyond garbage. I get more errors and slow downs from their app than i get from sohh. I used have to resort to their mobile site to get on facebook, but now they updated that shyt to look like the app and nows that shyt is is garbage too.

I work in advertising and yes they are. Actually every company does it, from your bank to credit cards. Just by being on this website your data is being collected by data vendors that are grouping you into certain profiles. They might assume that you're black, male, loves hip hop, sports jsut by being on this website. Facebook's selling point to advertisers is its massive data collection and most of it is actual data where they can say these people are 18-24 and they love cars since facebook has all those likes and groups and what not.

The stock market is rigged breh. It's not designed for average Americans, if u as an average American hear a stock tip that means the stock is washed already. I knew this shyt with FB was coming. People think they gonna get rich quick of the stock market....if the media is pumping the stock up to average folks believe me the fix is in already.

Facebook has no capital. Zuckerberg has capital now that his company went public and he'll probably sell the shares soon. But Facebook does not make a lot of money.

Social networking sites are a dime a dozen. There is no site that will be around "forever".
