All genes. My little brother is 22 and is bald. His shyt started receding when he was a teen. But it works cause he looks like Pac. Our dad and all of his brother been bald for as long as i can remember.
My granddad (mothers father) is 72 and still has a perfect line rocking a 70s fro. Thank god i took after him.

My mom cut my hair until i was 12 years old. One day i told her "momma, i think you are the only person on earth that can do something every week for 12 years and never get any better at it." she whooped my ass and from then on i had to pay to get my hair cut at a barbershop.
but seriously if i did something for 12 years i'd have mastered that shyt, doesn't matter what it is.. She was basically just shearing the top layer of wool from a sheep each and every time.

To a certain extent, yes, the barber can determine whether you go bald quicker or not.
People who say it aint the barber fault, aren't looking out for the best interests of your hair. They want you to look artifically sharp and go broke with weekly visits with the clippers, almost as if they were paid to say that

You probably shouldn't be going to the barber every five minutes, but imma say fiction.
Think about a breh like Ice Cube. Cube always had his hair lined up, at least since he dropped the curl in the early 90's. Honestly hasn't aged that much since Friday tbh. Then you got dudes losing their hair before they hit their mid 20's.

Literally every barber I've ever had is trash, then. The first cut is always great, but little by little after each next cut, they mess with the hairline too much even after I tell them not to take it back too far.

You're not making any sense. I'm rocking a natural and prefer to leave my hairline alone.
I dont necessarily think it makes u go bald, but I do thinks it's bad to get shapes up every week. U gotta let ur hairline breath and grow out some so when the barber lines u up hes not pushing ur shyt back.
Plus imo its unnecessary, if i get a lineup I'm good for at least 2-3weeks with the way I groom my hair. It's not razor sharp like the day I got it, but my line is still strong

you need to find a good barber and stick with him, where do you live if your having this hard of a time finding a consistent barber?
