The next ARM based Xbox piece of hardware gonna have y'all spinning all kinda narratives.

:mjlol:

Why would they burn the backwards compat and go ARM? The transitional layers ain't there yet for ARM. I get recompiling newer games with some work, but there's a lot of library between XB and assuming PC Microsoft releases.

Unless they're going to fully commit to the cloud stuff...

I don't think it would be full out ARM, but a hybrid.

All this proves is you stans didn't want a real concrete answer in the 1st place.

From if it's on Xbox and PC I'll just get it on PC
To the series S is holding back current generation games
To XB has no games
To MS a monopoly
To MS wants to buy up and lock down everything
To gamepass is ruining game preservation
To gamepass isn't sustainable
To will they get rid of hardware
To if they release their games on PS I'll just get it on PS
To hardware is going away no matter what they say

This is BS. I wanted Game Pass to succeed. I don't think it will anymore because now that they're in the business of selling games on PlayStation and Nintendo platforms Game Pass is in the way of those sales. This is the same conclusion most third party developers came to. They can't put major valuable games on Game Pass because it will cannibalize valuable sales. We saw what happened when Call of Duty came to Game Pass. The cost went up and the service changed in a way that some people don't even get day 1 games anymore. That's Microsoft's own admission that the service as it was originally intended wasn't viable.

Crazy incorrect take.

You know most Big Triple A 3rd party Publishers have day 1 sub services that allow you to play their game day 1 on release? Both Ubisoft and EA come to mind instantly.

100 repeat spenders are more valuable than 500 sporadic spenders.

It's weird y'all don't understand how valuable getting someone to lock in is. Especially when everything you've seen your whole life is based on keeping a person "subbed" or locked into an ecosystem of some type. From reward programs to twitch and YouTube creators

Now name the successful gaming sub services (not tied to a console maker)

How many people seriously pay $17 for EA's release cadence or $18 for Ubisoft's? Those aren't serious products and simply exist to churn revenue from whales. They exist because they aren't a threat to game sales and a company like EA is more into that Ultimate team monetization than anything anyway. Game Pass is far more mainstream than those services and would actually threaten to cannibalize sales which is why when CoD was added it changed entirely.
