I noticed a lot people began hating Chris Rock after Kill the Messenger when he made that joke about black women not being attracted to white men.

It's the same crowd that flipped on Dave when he made the trans jokes

I wish Faizon could articulate his thoughts better even his hate for Chappelle I don’t mind, but it’s a tragedy how he witnessed history and can’t finish a sentence in that interview smh. He sounds tired, unbothered, his voices is low etc

You’ll think his on drugs??

He's just fat...

And I agree. Aries Spears knows how to mask his hate so much better. Dude should take note.

That was released years later
Being released and recorded are two different things. Second, that doesn’t matter. Nas ain’t respond right back to Takeover.

Part of me doesn’t believe it though.

What benefit would Showtime have holding onto a then largely unknown Dave Chappelle special for 4 years

Plus I noticed Dave's comedy didn't really get political until after the Chappelle show. His comedy was funny back then but it was more silly, like it was all made up scenarios like Baby selling weed, the first person to say nikka, Working as a dominoes delivery driver etc

I remember Chris working with the Daily show after Bring the Pain

Nah man Dave came out the box with "political" humor, but one of his strengths is that he can do it without coming off so "politically"...the first bit I ever heard Dave do was how superheroes are prejudiced...

His tv shows but not his standup

It's been known for a long time that Chris Rock has writers, same way Richard Pryor had writers. It's an old style, but not something I look down on him for. Comedy is complicated and someone at his level is expected to constantly be producing, so he needs writers to assist. I’m sure they are compensated.
