I wouldn't say Kevin is a 'plant' rather he showed the film people that make the big decisions that be he can fill cinema seats.

Kevin filled a niche that needed to be filled. And was vacated since Eddie stopped making his kinda movies.

Kevin is marketed as the 'safe' black comedian that works well with white comedians. I said before Kevin is smart but simple in how he frames himself. He doesn't talk about social issues, politics, religion or anything else that could cause a ruckus with certain folks. He has his lane and he stays there.

Both of those dudes have worked hard but only one of them has been Hollywood's go to "funny screaming black for trash comedy movie" the last five years. The other left for over a decade and gets 40mill off his name alone.

I think people take that shyt the completely wrong way. It would have nothing to do with Chappelle being funny or not. I don't agree, by the way.

And for what it's worth, there isn't really an argument that Kevin Hart was "manufactured" by anybody not named Kevin Hart. That boy put in the work himself, and grinded his way into what he is today. If you think he's not funny, then that's on you and your opinion but to say he's manufactured is hater shyt really. If you want to say everyone jumped on that bandwagon when he started winning, then that's a whole nother story, but that's just how life works.

Dave was doing comedy when he was 14 and didn’t become a real star until he was in his 30s. He grinded jus like Kevin did except he did it longer and during the golden age of black stand up.

Faizon made some valid points but let’s be real, this is Ty Lawson or someone hating on Steph Curry. Nobody checking for Faizon as a comedian. Dave is a top 10 comedian off all time. The only blk dudes in comedy that can sell out a arena today is Dave, Rock, kevin hart and Katt.....maybe Chris Tucker. Nobody else. Faizon couldn’t even sell out a VFW in his hometown.
