It's been said that DC didn't get blown up by black people.

nikkas wasn't watching halfed baked like that, but white people and people who liked stoner comedies were.

We can rewrite history and say he didn't blow until killin them softly in which he became embraced by blacks nationally but he has always had a large white audience and they met him in half baked and stayed with him through the shows run.

He definitely ain't the wackest ever.
I've been watching Dave since his 1st appearance on Def Comedy Jam

HES DEFINITELY REACHING WITH THE WACK shyt
BUT I DO AGREE HES OVERRATED AS A STAND UP....

I WAS LEGIT SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THESE BUM ASS COLI nikkaS
COMPARING HIM TO CHRIS ROCK.

I always felt like Rock tries to hard. He just loud and obnoxious, more annoying than funny. Plus his opinions remind me of black people that try to be militant even though all their friends are white. He gives every one of his white friends a pass to say the n word and yet I hardly ever see him in the company of black people.

Nobody hasn't said he hasn't been performing for a long time.

He got his blow up from half baked.

Not his HBO specials in the 90's, not his movie cameos. But his first big movie. Half baked which is and was not a black people movie. I like the movie but it's not a black movie. He headlined it. He wrote it. It was his big break.

Right after he did killin them softly which turned him into a household name or a comedian you should know. He went from the funny guy who had several cameos in black movies and white movies to a feature performer.
