There in lies the problem...that's what his music is made for, which isn't an issue within itself.

The issue is this idea that he's the "best" rapper or he's dominating the game outside of sales/charts/trending. Ironically enough, he makes mood music (no pun intended), certain people who typically were aren't this go around.

Metric can anyone say its a flop or “came and went” . A goddamn pure rap album cut just DEBUTED at number 1 on billboard. When’s the last time that happened? An actual rappity RAP song coming out the gate at number 1? Its (unfortunately) damn near unheard nowadays

Objectively, it hasn't at all.

It's still one of the best selling and most talked about rap albums this year aside from Utopia and has a number of songs that blew up.

The album is still mid and another bloated Drake album though. Dude is literally becoming the new Eminem and Lil Wayne when it comes to dropping one disappointing album after another year after year.
