Fall Out 3 is 1000x harder than Skyrim

I started Fall Out 3 a few months ago. I haven't gotten that far because I've had other games to play, but like 2 weeks ago I went back to it. Man, that game is way harder than Skyrim: it's harder to get money (bottlecaps), healing supplies, and kill enemies. I find myself having to run from those crab things and mutant beings on the game when I'm out of ammo. I'm not knocking the game--it's a fun game. But damn if that shyt ain't hard as hell. Also, man, what is up with the map on there? I was on the "Find the Family" quest and the map kept telling me they were in the GNC building I finally gave up and googled the quest and figured out that they were in the north seneca metro station.

I don't know but I've never played the Fallout series but played the hell out of the Elder Scrolls series. Elders Scrolls + Mods =

Got the game looking like it was made in 2013 with mods that make the game fairly difficult and less of watered down RPG. Still can't fix the horrible combat system in the game though.

Wait, what do mods do again? Combat in fallout if far worse than Skyrim. Remember, Fallout 3 was made in 2008; Skyrim was made in 2011. Combat is far more difficult in FallOut 3. FallOut 3 has this thing where u can freeze combat and use precision shots to disarm an opponent. At first it was annoying, but it does help get you out of tough situations.

Basically I have mods that overhaul the lighting, shadows, textures, and meshes in the game to make it seem better. I also have mods that change things like combat AI and just overhaul the game in general. I also have this frostfall mod that makes it so the cold weather is actually harmfull. For some odd reason I really though Skyrim was made in 2009, probably mixed that up with Fallout.

But still you can't really overhaul the combat system in Skyrim and I wanted to know how the combat was in Fallout because all tell me how it shyts on Elder Scrolls combat lol.

Dont see how anyone can say it shyts on Skyrim's combat. If by shyt on they mean it's harder, then yeah. Man skyrim and fallout 3 have the worst lighting. At least in Skyrim you can use the candlelight magic skill and brighten up a dungeon. You can't do that in FallOut 3

This is a fact after Skyrim got rid of weapon degradation..

you have to make sure you are using the right weapons for whatever you're running from. make sure you experiment with creating weapons...especially that lunchbox mine and the dart gun

oh in that case just do the quests in megaton. by the time you finish there you'll have your own playing style. thats the beauty of fallout 3 it basically molds to however you want to play

Fallout 3 is an all-time great game. But if you're playing it in 2014 you want it on the PC with mods.
