Fallout 4 beating Witcher 3? :what:

Star Wars: Battlefront is the action game of the year? :wtf:

Metal Gear Solid 5 being best adventure game? Is it even an adventure game to begin with? :jbhmm:

These awards are looking a little funny in the light :patrice:

I gotta finish Ori though. I keep meaning to, but always get sidetracked :manny:

I put almost 100 hours into Fallout 4 (and still gotta go back at some point to get Benevolent Leader :deadmanny:). Off that alone I can't call it a disappointment. I agree with many others that the franchise took some steps backwards; removing skills, karma, factions, and weapon decay were all steps backwards clearly designed to make the game friendlier to casuals. The plot fizzles out after you find the Institute. These are some negative marks.

But lets not ignore the steps forward the game took: the scope and attention to detail is amazing. Just wandering around the Wasteland is a blast. Weapon mods are so much fun, and scavenging junk for said mods is incredibly creative (having the :krs: face when you find an aluminum can). The companions are easily the best roster of partners in the series, and settlements are a ton of fun and really fleshed out as well. It deserves props for these things.

I gotta play Witcher 3 which is in the backlog first, but Fallout for is definitely a fantastic game. At least an 8.5/10.

If you play on pc and basically cheat to make the game interesting.... sure.... but on ps4, the settlements seldom ever get attacked; you have to lower defense and raise food/water to even entice attackers...... fallout 4 is repetitive and boring...
