Don't file joint when one of your partners owe any money that's in collection. If she would have filed just her self and the kids she would have got EIC and her stimulus. Married people DON'T HAVE TO FILE JOINT.

Also a Dummy move filing joint when he knew he owed money. You don’t have to joint file in order to get credit for the kids during taxes.

I know a guy who was behind on child support who lived on the same street as his son. His son stayed with him just about most of the time actually and he dropped the boy off from school and picked him up and helped himi do his home work. But ON PAPER he owed child support.

Dude owed money for kids from a previous baby momma. He filed jointly with his current wife whom he has 3 kids by. The government took the full amount....and their jobless.

You can say the system is unfair, but they should have been smarter. Why file jointly to begin with?

shyt me and my wife legit live in the same household and split the kids in half and claimed 2 each and filed separate...2200 a piece. But it went to the same account so 4400 just like the family in the OP. In this situation I think I would of just filed individual.

A flat payment. Income should be irrelevant after a while. The fact that child support is based off a percentage is the scam. An example of this would be Puffy having to pay Kim Porter $20,000 a month in child support. NO child needs that much money, that shyt is going to straight to the woman.

This is facts. The major banks and credit unions are giving a reprieve to those with overdraft accounts. Customers should receive the full stimulus amount, they changed the policy as of 2 days ago.

They definitely put it on mine and it was over drafted

I have two kids. 8 and 10. Both have everything they want living in a 3 bedroom house. I cant even count on one hand the amount of times i spent $500 on them in one month. It is 100% a scam. Its mainly to support the mom and groceries for her and the kids and its even worse if she dont even work. I dunno how the judge comes up with these ridiculous amounts of cash to give monthly.
