I think that's where a lot of the Rakim "ghost wrote" Summetime confusion comes from. Besides Will sounding like a dead ringer for him.
Jay passed on that Luda beat at 1:38. I think it turned out to be a good decision though

Supposedly they rapped on a bunch of beats that were supposedly held for other people.
With Oh Boy Just Blaze and Dame Dash got really mad at them because they went and played it on Hot 97 the day they recorded it, before any sample clearances could get worked out, so the owner's to the sample roasted everyone for the publishing, and everyone on Rocafella's end got way less money than they could have gotten.
