Hooded Justice and most of the crew in the Minutemen were straight up bigots in the original based on the original Nite Owl's book.

Either these people never read Watchmen or they're mad because of the content in the new series. I'll go with the latter.

1) Hooded Justice supported Hitler, thought he was right and felt America was wrong to fight against the Axis.

2) Captain Metropolis hated black people.

3) Dollar Bill was on the National Bank poster dragging a black man by his collar (getting riff-raff out of the bank).
