lets talk about another of the reasons rome fell, the absolutely horrendous way the emperor was chosen and the habit of killing off the family and associates of the previous

i think that is where the analogy with the US fails, if the us sticks to democratic elections and peaceful transitions of power it will avoid a lot of the problems that brought down rome
