My bad, I'm just tired of people not connecting the dots and, indeed, of people (in general, not only Americans) only looking at what is going on in their own country. For example I remember some US publication calling Wilders the "Dutch Trump" lol when he's been a force in the Netherlands (hus in Europe) for far longer and has most probably inspired a lot of "alt-right" people in the US. Ironically these extreme-right movements are very well-connected across borders, probably more than current so-called "progressive" forces.
