Broncos just won 9 games, which is pretty damn solid. Peyton was one of the worst starting QBs in the league statistically when they won it all.

But now this becomes practically revisionist history. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a season similar to this most recent Kirk Cousins season and people were saying on this board that they had to pay him just like they're saying about Kirk now. They overpay a QB whose shown that he's actually a league average or worst throughout his career, and he regresses to his norm. We see it ALL the time in the NFL. I don't understand how or why football fans do this shyt. :gucci:

I don't think we can fairly assess cousins norm at this point. He was decent as a first year starter last season and solid this season. Still in his 20s. Fitzpatrick had one respectable season after 7-8 years of evidence that he is at best a stop-gap starter.

Denver was a strong team on all levels last season and were always the exception, like the 00 Ravens & the 02 Bucs. Dallas spent five years building up the offensive line and system they currently have in place. Kansas City is the exact same whereas theyve built their system up for years where they can win with Alex Smith without JC, and they are kinda like last years Broncos. Washington just started the process to get where those teams are, so id sign Cousins for one year again, and draft a QB
I taught you well :to:

I dont think Cousins salary is too relevant unless it impeded Washington from keeping someone important. He was franchised last year but still could afford Josh Norman. So a 1 year deal is harmless. I'd listen to offers too because theres more openings than there are starters.

I'd sign him :snoop: He had a pretty good year and the nucleus Cousins, Crowder, Reed, Thompson are still relatively young. We need dline and safeties.
Up and maybe some more help for Kerrigan too.

Seems every teams line has holes smh...

He will get resigned he's a gunslinger who has a quick release his judgement is the problem.

I'm upset but I know Kirk cousins is a crazy fun slinger type CAC with no conscious. Rg3 got ran out of town because they said his release was award and he didn't react fast enough, Kirk is the opposite with worst judgement than rg3.

Kirk ain't going nowhere DC cacs love dude.

Mufukkaz better learn from Brock about overpaying these QBs....

Slurs kinda stuck though, they gotta pay Captain Kirk.

@PS4 :lupe:
You should know better, you think San Francisco would be better today with Alex Smith overpaid and still at the helm? This loss is a blessing because we will get a higher draft pick and we don't have to commit as much if we do pursue him. I know for a fact Colt McCoy would do similar in this offense and he has better pocket presence. TBC

And why you keep calling them the slurs bruh? White people did not invent the term Redskins :stop: they just told you to hate it the same way they tell you nikka means ignorant. No the fukk it doesn't

Most of us didn't want Fitzpatrick back.

nikkas that had sense I'm sure didnt. But most nikkas on thecoli don't got sense.

I honestly can't point to any Jets fans on this board who wanted Fitz back. Fitz pissed any goodwill he had away with that epic stink bomb against the Bills with the playoffs on the line. Most of us were done with him after that.

I agree. Signing him to a long term deal won't cripple the team and even though a large portion of the fanbase doesn't believe in him, the people who do(all of the local media and the HC) want him back at any costs and that will win out unfortunately.

I have an unique experience of living in Dallas throughout Romo's era and Dallas fans constantly calling him a choke artist in big moments and being just good enough to be called elite based on numbers but not good enough to take that next level. That's the exactly what cousins will be.

There are dudes in the local media in DC who defend Cousins like he is their very own son and it's disgusting because it's total bias. With that good O-LINE and offensive weapons, there are plenty of competent QB's that will give you the same production. I say give Cousins an offer sheet and let him shop around, no matter where he goes his leash will be short because NFL "long term contracts" don't really mean shyt and he can't get it done in key moments. He's not an elite QB.

I have been critical of cousins but when does the criticism of gruden start nationally and locally? Dude is a shyt game manager of timeouts and doesn't seem to know what plays to call in key moments. He called a "code red" game last year and if he would've lost, he probably would've gotten canned.

I was told Washington had the best receiving corps in the NFL. We all know they have a terrible backfield, but their fans didn't think that. They have to give him another 1 year deal though and draft a QB. I'm not sure what letting him walk and getting Tyrod or Griffin back would do.
Their back field isn't horrible breh rob Kelly is very solid .

The skins just Don't stick with the run at all .

It's pass , pass then run don't even try to establish the run shyt is wack .

They have a back who could be very solid for them .

Matt jones was trash but rob is very solid .

I'm local so I've watch the whole season .

When they let this dude work he is a work horse man .

He's gonna get you those tough yards and might break one .

Kirk is much younger. I'm sure age has to do with it. Kirk will get paid simply for continuity sake and the lack of competent QBs out there. He will get paid whether it's by the Skins or someone else.
