The Texans have a better record than the Slurs and more playoff appearances since Cousins took over so what is that saying about the Slurs and their QB? What chance do the Slurs have right now? Dak has done his thing, but a lot of his success is due to the position the org put him in. No disrespect to him, but he ain't he only QB that would flourish in that circumstance. Most QBs do well when you give them a dominant running game. Cousins himself was a 4th round pick, so this idea that you just can't find anyone to take his place (for a fraction of a percent of the price) is just silly.

The Texans make the playoffs because their division has been horrible. I'm sure you can find someone to replace Cousins, but it's a risk considering he's been pretty good this year and last.

Keeping Cousins and drafting defense is the route they will probably go.

The Slurs won the NFC East last year with the same exact record that the Texans won their division with. This year was actually one of the few up years for the NFC East in recent history. Even with that, everything lined up for them to make the playoffs this year and what did their pretty good QB do at the crib against a squad with nothing to play for? Paying him big, long term money for being pretty good (until shyt gets hot that is) is an even bigger risk.

While the Redskins figure out what to do with Kirk Cousins, the 49ers reportedly have made up their minds about the 28-year-old quarterback.

And Washington's decision — it can sign Cousins to a massive, long-term deal, it can franchise tag him for a second straight season or it can let him test free agency — apparently will not affect San Francisco's desire to obtain the eight-year pro.

If Cousins becomes available, "the 49ers would pursue him as hard as they pursued (Kyle) Shanahan," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Shanahan reportedly is the clear favorite to land head-coaching job in San Francisco ... if he wants it.

Skins should franchise tag him or sign him to a 2 year deal. With how bad the QB market is and how it lacks above average to great QBs....it kinda forces Skins to think about this.

But it does make me knowing Skins may be stuck with him. They could draft one but with their draft position...the QB may need a year or 2 to learn.
