It's the same creator as "Fargo". He's also doing a FX adaptation of "Cat's Cradle" and a sci-fi movie called "Man Alive".

You could technically skip it as each season is a different story. The main cop from season 2 is in season 1 but he's an old man and the story follows his daughter....aside from that the two stories aren't connected. You should watch season 1 though because it's dope as hell.
