These farmers should grow better crops instead of mass producing soy beans to export to China.

I agree. Unfortunately, the way that government subsidies and crop assistance are set up, they favor the bigger farms, the more chemical methods, the mass-produced bullshyt and the heavily subsidized soy/corn/rice/wheat/sugar/beef/milk.

It's really stupid and they should be shifting on their own but government policy needs to be changed to in order to give them a better shot.
