i read majority of Garth Ennis run in the punisher and the guy is dead on. The thing is about the punisher is that hes a broken man, hes compensating for the loss of his family but also because of how he lost so much in vietnam he couldnt let that shyt go. The thing is though, punisher doesnt really fukk with police like that and shooting unarmed black men in the name of the law is something he doesnt fukk with. I dont know if any of yall read the original civil war book but his encounter with captain america was awkward as fukk, cap was NOT fukking with him at all and was annoyed they even needed his help. Frank is not a well person and seeing his symbol co-opted would just anger him.

However...he DEFINITELY doesn't fukk with White Supremacy, Police Corruption, etc.

I agree. THings only get worse as time goes on. White people's numbers are taking a HUGE hit due to the baby boomers getting older (over half of the living white population) on top of the hard drugs epidemic that is wiping out a lot of the white youth. They feel like the America they grew up in is disappearing and they have no choice but to use extreme force.

This shyt goes deeper than this. The reason why federal law enforcement doesn’t investigate these groups because since 9/11 if you want to advance your career cases that dealt with Islamic terrorism will get you promoted. If you stop a right wing militias in the middle of Virgina from committing an attack against an Islamic center in DC you won’t get promoted. Secondly federal law enforcement doesn’t see it as a priority to go after right wing extremism as there is a shortage of federal agents. And lastly and this is the scary part federal law enforcement is full of white conservative men who secretly share the same viewpoints as these white paramilitary fascist.

If America continues to ignore the rise of far right militarism and fascism the blowback that will come from that will tear this nation apart. As we enter the 2020 things are not looking good for white conservatives. Demographic and economic changes will further radicalize them. The only reason why most these current, ex military and LEO white men haven’t started a wave of terror yet is because they still have their vote and the economy is somewhat decent. Take those two away and you will see these white boys start bucking out. If the continued economic decline of white people goes on shyt will get real. Economic decline plus loss of political power plus lots of heavily armed angry racist ignorant white boys equal bloodshed. Take them seriously because they have a lot of support in the military and police.

I think one of the tools of 2019 will be using the Black Reparation topic and wielding it as a political weapon to further anger that base and those whom share those sentiments subconsciously that are in other political parties.

While I agree with you, where I disagree (Not saying you are saying this explicitly) is trying to model that template without gutting out the virus that is Dogma. Hence why they support people like Trump or any political candidate that supports policies, agendas or laws that enrich white supremacy. What they fail to realize is they are just paws in the game and will be utilized as the cannon fodder when the US hits critical mass and is destroyed from within, it will be their complicity that enabled it.

The comic does a good job highlighting how culture, conformity (the misuse) and the seduction of power is used in a subversive way to create a patriotic zealot that is willing to uphold the foundation of white supremacy. The buzzword I speak of toxic masculinity etc, the effects of it is very real. But the political uses of such buzzwords are lost in translation due the citizenry's lack of discerning nuance, and seeing and judging said phenomena in extremes.
