This dude has decent takes on a fashion but he's completely off here and it's an example of how homosexual men and heterosexual men are both men but see the world in completely different lenses.

I have never not gotten a complement in my Polos (RL, Lacoste, TH) and women always either grab my arms or complement me on the color of my polos.

They are versatile and can be used at work or at a casual function or a date.

They're not a catch all and it has to fit right but still.

Polo’s kind of ARE trash. I see em’ and all I can think is “stop acting like a phaggot and just wear a damn t-shirt. You already have to pull that shyt over, why take the extra steps? It doesn’t even look professional, just lazy, performative, weak, and half-assed. Whole-ass that shyt and wear a button up with a fukking tie… OR, ya know, just wear a more practical t-shirt… bytch.

They were originally meant to exercise in. For people old enough and rich enough the polo has the same look as wearing a football or basketball jersey.
Tennis?

For work in a business casual setting, feels like short-sleeve button down with khakis or jeans is the "go-to." Polo's seem to either be worn by younger/in shape dudes or grandpa with a potbelly....at least when I was in the office before COVID hit.

Late 90s/Jr. High.....a Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger or Nautica polo with jeans and Lugz/K-Swiss/Jordan's was THAT outfit unless you were rocking Fubu, Pelle Pelle etc., from head to toe.
