Fast food kiosks are extremly simple. If you are confused by them that is a you thing.

Who said anything about being confused about how to use a kiosk….. it takes a lot less time to say an order verbally as opposed typing inputs or pressing icons…. Simple as that…. And yes, people are coerced into using self checkouts because it’s more of them in most cases…..

They had one at this Panda Express I went to….honestly it took a lot longer to place my order than a human being would.

Very quick for me when I have ordered using a kiosk so I don't get the issue you have.

Maybe the AI is there to make sure these workers get the food out faster People be trying to take orders and prepare the food at the same time. This takes a thing from the worker to do so they can focus on other shyt.

I don’t encounter attitudes at the grocery store…. And self checkout isn’t quicker, there are just a lot less real life cashiers now….. when self checkout was first implemented, I rarely used it because what the fukk I look like scanning and bagging my own groceries and not getting a discount for it. That’s sucker shyt…

Self checkout is not fukking quicker because the average person has to look for a barcode and process what’s going on with the screen…you don’t have those problems with a regular cashier…. especially if they have a bagger…. But if they are only 2 cashiers and 8 self checkouts, you’re probably gonna get out of the store quicker with the self checkout because there aren’t enough live cashiers……

Everytime time we take technological leaps, we get concerned about jobs.

But usually what happens is society just realigns. New jobs get invented just a quickly as old ones get made obsolete.

Used to have Elevator operators, but social media jobs didn't exist
Fastfood places didn't always exist. that was invented in 1950s. If they go away we will be as fine as we were before .
