Let's be real though...a lot of Coli folks don't want to see a 15 an hour minimum wage because of one reason...they went though college or a cert program for x amount of years, racked up all this student loan debt, got their degree/certs and feel like they deserve substantially more than the teenager or ex-felon working the fryer at Burger King. These certs and degrees got folks feeling superior, and they look at the next man scuffling and trying to make a way working for peanuts as less than them. It's shameful shyt.

I see both sides of this one side of it i see what critical thinking does the fast food industry have that warrants a $15 hr wage and on the other side I've worked in the fast food industry for 12 years before transitioning over to tech full time and I've seen numerous stories and situations where these workers struggle and should not have to and they deserve a liveable wage.

It baffles me how people don't understand mininum wages destroy small business which is the majority of buisnesses out there, minimum wage always increases expenses and decreases the work force. The more small companies need to pay the more jobs they have to cut. need to fight for a restructured cost of living in their states. The real issue is in the prices it costs to rent or buy real estate. There's no reason a regular full-time job at a low wage can't at least get you a relatively quaint spot to rent in most cities. Like damnit in California you gotta make like 30$ an hour to rent comfortably which is basically the real minimum wage, so 15-20- even 25$ will not help.
