Plus will Vin want to even think of doing 2 more movies after this? They may have to end it on screen because the actors don't wanna keep going.

how u know what vin wants, he wants to get paid

his career was on the downhill before he came back to fast/furious

When an actor has been attached to a film franchise since 2000 and has been the lead for 5 out of 6 movies, it is a big deal if he dies. People will go see Fast and Furious 7 out of respect and because of the media circus around it but, I doubt the studio will do 8 and 9. Its awkward now.

Fast and Furious was about Dom and Bryan. They've been the lead guys for 12 years now. And now one of them is dead. Its over :yeshrug: Trust me....the execs are losing their minds right now. They're sad that homie died but, they're definitely pissed they just lost about 2-3 billion dollars because 7, 8 and 9 was gonna print money.

The franchise has made over $2 billion, they're going to at least try and see if they can salvage it.

The key is Vin Diesel, he is the real reason the franchise made a comeback. If he drops out of the films over this then the franchise is dead.

Vin Diesel is the more famous actor but, the series is about both guys. Paul Walker already proved that by carrying the 2nd movie without Vin.

Maybe it will work. Maybe not.

I'm treading towards no though. Nobody would go see Rush Hour 4 if Jackie Chan died. Years ago, nobody would have wanted a Lethal Weapon sequel if Danny Glover died. People don't like changes.

There really isnt a way to re write around it for ff7. The series is def about Dom and The Rock now but nikkas are lying to themselves if they think Paul Walker wasnt Robin to Diesels Batman...he was getting busy in all the action set pieces in these movies. He was way more of a central figure in these then we all wanna admit:to:

They can still keep this formula going with other action movie cats this is now Expendables on wheels....but this new one gonna just feel weird.

I still wanna see 6....but idk now:lupe:

:skip: at Brian not being a major character. He's at worst, the 3rd main character in the series. Nikkas are deluding themselves.

I have no clue what he wants, I just asked the question if he would want to go on because of what happened.

I still gotta see 6:to:

The character has def taken a backseat to the others but its only because they are going the oceans 11 expendables route.

I honestly never gave toyko drift a chance so I really only know this series being about Dom and Brian

The truth of the matter is that the Brian and Dom characters ARE the F&F franchise. The entire ensemble is in some shape, form, or fashion tied to them. You only get Ludacris and Tyrese's characters because of Brian and you only get Letty, Han, and the two Latino's because of Dom. Mia is a character central to both of them. With Paul Walker dead the series takes a major hit because one of the MOST important characters who helps tie the "family" together is gone. So do you go ahead and do 8 and 9 without that crucial piece? How does it effect the chemistry of the cast? Without Brian what's the point of Mia? And if you start sidelining the characters that the audience cares about then nobody's going to want to see it....

They should probably just let the series rest after Fast 7, but of course it'll probably go on to be the highest grossing movie of the franchise and Universal will HAVE to work something out to keep the cash cow flowing...

They will just have to hope Vin is still interested once they get this next one out there or they turn this over to the rock there is still money in swries regardless. But the thing that drew ppl who really dont care for cars and racing (myself) was the coolness of Dom and Brian

that's why i feel its over. if they do this movie close it out and move on to something else. you can't have a pillar character removed and still continue like that. it just won't be right. i could see if it was intended to kill him off but the actor dying just seals the deal.

Smartest thing to do is to go ahead and rewrite 7 as the "end" of the OG saga. Let Dom, Letty and the rest of the fam drive off into the sunset and in a few years go ahead and reboot it.

they're just gonna re up it, and just have new characters with new young stars. It'll be Dom and Bryan's children next

Lol @ people thinking a billion Dollar fraanchise will stop because one actor died.

Vin is the star, but people are going for the spectacle and the large varied cast.

The writers will come up with something and the show will go on.

that john ritter sjow continued after he died
spartacus went on wiht a different actor

not saying there gonna get a different actor but they can easily write him out, have a blonde looking dude awalking to a car and it blows up or something

hell this is ff where letty was dead then there like lets bring her back
