Haven't watched the discussion, but going by past threads, a bunch of dudes who don't care about Hip Hop history otherwise will act outraged and offended.

Then, when a genuine thread about Hip Hop history comes up, they will avoid it because it's not something they give a fukk about.
YOU were the main guy i used t argue with about spreaing the myth of hip hop having Jamaican origins

Even stuff you linked proved you wrong, but you kept saying it

NOW, you want a serious discussion on hip hop history?!:ohhh:

Outside of Pun, who should be apart of the conversation?

Aside from Pun & Joe, what other full Latino was/is nice on the mic? Their really ain’t any.
As a collector of 90s underground independent rap vinyl, some latinos (mostly puerto ricans) where nice on the mic.
These are underground rappers that put out singles but not cohesive albums, still known amongst collectors

No names. Non of these dudes made an impression on the hiphop scene or moved the culture.

In the big picture of hip hop history, yes these are no names. But I don’t necessarily listen to an MC because he is known in the mainstream. I am just as happy to listen to Juice(Chicago) spitting on “freestyle or written”, Pharaoh Monch quotable on “Metal Thangz” or Harlem NOTS Click ft Big L. Since I was young, I always liked underground MCs.

They mention all the half Latinos In hip hop. Lloyd Banks, Fabolous, NORE,Jim Jones, Pop Smoke, Kevin Gates, Juelz. The one that blew my mind was DMC, had no idea he was Dominican

They also speak about Pioneers like Charley Chase, Crazy Legs, Bobbito. Watch the video
DMC? From Run DMC?

DMC is not half Dominican. He's adopted and was told his mother was but then found out she wasn't

Ok.

I promis you in the future the Middle Easterns are going to complain that they are left out of Hip Hop because of Dj Khalad.
In fact I already have heard something like that to that degree, but at least Ricans have a historical position from the mid-70s and late '70s onwards of "being there" amongst Black American pioneers".

They aren't pioneers. Do you know what the word pioneer means? They did contribute in what was already established by actual pioneers. Everybody else started to emulate the actual pioneers. That's the issue and the misinformation being spread. People have no idea what words mean and how the chronology fits.

"a person or group that originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity"

All people go through a learning phase. Perhaps he has learned over time. Others will become more accepting as they learn the chronology of Hip Hop.

Answer is easy.

Most of the Latinos in hip hop are Afro-Latino or mixed Afro-Latino/ADOS.

If some 95% Spanish, Canelo or Antonio Banderas or Ricky Martin looking dude was rocking the mic....Latinos would be all over hip-hop claiming it. Since it's Afro-Latinos mostly, they won't ride with it since it's mayate music.

I can't think of too many really white Latinos doing it up big.
This has been true from the beginning when Ricans first started to become part of the culture. I did notice it was Afro-Ricans.

One thing they have in common is, that they are part of the Diaspora and MAAFA.

latinos need to get off black people dikk, and do they own thing

what's so hard about that

Everybody wanna emulate and copy black people, be apart of everything black poeple, but at the same time don't even wanna acknowledge that's what they are doing and love black culture

when lupe doing all that samurai shyt, he ain't trying say black people contributed to samurai culture because some nikka was yasuke was a samurai back in the day lmao

I'm tired of this shyt

It ain’t like that shyt really matters. Them folks black. Fat Joe just naming nationalities

Fat Joe has said all latinos are black

So im not really sure what he really hopes to achieve. Is he bringing up all the half black latinos to blur the line? So as to gain black admission for all latinos:patrice:?

Becsuse I think most would consider those half latino rappers black. But not Fat Joe and other fairer skinned latinos.
