Above the fray.
A Mount Rushmore figure if you're going to talk about the history of hip hop has to be John Rivas.

His stage name is in the spoiler.

Anybody who doesnt see him as a pivotal figure is lying.

Blondie's song the Rapture was a pivotal moment in rap history, does that mean white people invented Hip Hop

Hip Hop existed before all this shyt and all these figures you bringing up, it's a culture of black people, it was there before music, before records, before radio stations, this is what you culture vultures don't understand

Latinos participating in black culture doesn't change in anything

and when people always talked about puerto ricans they was talking about black puerto ricans like this guy

this why puerto ricans start saying nikka, because they say black people and black puerto ricans saying it to each other, and they figured hey I'm puerto rican too even though they white as hell, then you dumb ass c00ns figured that somehow made sense

Fat Joe has said all latinos are black

So im not really sure what he really hopes to achieve. Is he bringing up all the half black latinos to blur the line? So as to gain black admission for all latinos:patrice:?

Becsuse I think most would consider those half latino rappers black. But not Fat Joe and other fairer skinned latinos.

Some latinos are black. I think a lot of Latino people are more Native American blood than black

Agallah, Cuban link (Cuban), PR Terrorist ak Dom Pachino (Killarmy), Q-Unique (Arsonists)?

Agallah's body of work is on point.

Alchemist body work is more significant in hip hop and he's white

does that mean white people invented hip hop lmao

this is what you morons don't understand, nobody said latinos never participated in hip hop, it's not their culture, they adopted black culture and participated, just like white people

trying to act you built something for black people to follow is mad disrespectful, and you only making it worst for latinos being the artist have had zero impact of the influence of the culture and sound of the music

naming a bunch of dusty ass eastcoast rappers proves this

The truth is Black people from the UK done had more influence on rap than latinos in New York, even in the sound of the music in they own city

because the cold crush had a puerto rican side kick wildstyle, and some DJ who played some records was latino, I'm suppose to give them credit for being co-founders of some shyt black people did naturally before it was even a business or people made money with it lmao

When and where did I say any what you accused me of saying? You first need to read what people say before you do all this knee jerk reaction. You don’t respond rational, but emotional.

Everything you are posting here is things I wrote myself already in other threads. The things I have done here to establish the history of hip hop go beyond what you can image.

I also did a segment on British rappers in the following thread, where we deconstructed and reconstructed the chronology, based on actual historical accounts, flyers, tickets etc.

Besides Slick Rick and Monie Love there aren’t a lot who of UK rappers who can outcompete the work by some PR contributors. Boogie Down Production had Dj Dock, Public Enemy had a second Dj who’s Puerto Rican. Fat Boys Price Mark etc.

Fun fact. I had a conversation about this in 1988 with the Jungle Brothers, Africa Baby Bam agreed with me on how we need to pass on the history and preserve the culture and tradition. Mike G was upset with me for bringing this up. Latifah was there too that particular day.

People posted a list of significant rappers, and some dismissed them as irrelevant.

Some of which I quoted and questioned??

So my response was Aggalah’s body of work is on point.

I only listen and accept what The Black Spades and pioneers are telling about this history. Anyone else is irrelevant to me.

You sir, are major imbecile! You probably learned about the history of Hip Hop a few weeks ago.

This is the equivalent of Darius Rucker being mad black people don’t get enough recognition in country music.

that nikka himself started out in rock. his brother my age and them nikkaz grew up in black lower/middleclass neighborhood. His brother is the complete opposite of him.

Once again you are confusing Hip Hop Music with Hip Hop Culture, like I said you're a culture vulture

Dumb babble box, go read the threads where I have posted. I went as far as deconstructing the Gullah Geechee origin in New York and the old Black New York population. I also deconstructed the Jamaican claims. I linked them in the previous post you dumbass.

You can’t teach me a thing. The only people who can teach me are the Gestapo Black Spades.

You are not the originator (as what you think of yourself), you are simply an imitator. I don’t listen to folk like you, I only listen to the pioneers who actually were there. smh

The first 15 years Hip Hop was solely from New York, in the late mid 80s it started to spread to the Midwest, and from there to other parts. It last made it’s way to the South in the 90s. That’s the raw outlines of how it spread.
