The majority of Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and Dominicans are of Afro descent. A whole bunch of them don't look like Fat Joe either, not saying he's not Afro-Latino himself. But a whole bunch of them look indistinguishable African Americans. None of us should say the n-word or sag our pants. Its all ignorant. But this needs to be understood that this is NOT the same as some European saying the n-word. Its not like he came over here from Puerto Rico calling us the n-word on some racism shyt. Ain't he from the Bronx, back when it was hell on Earth in the 80s???

Its basically a light-skinned dude from the hood with heavy street ties, that still using the n-word even though he knows better because he's probably got a lot of hood tendencies that he should have let go by now but he can't.

Oh another thing...they know they are black! Most of the ricans in NY, especially the men who are in the streets have no confusion about being of Afro descent.

I'm in central Va. What does it matter?

It matters a whole fukking lot. You come from the sticks and you’re talking about a city that will literally eat you alive if you tried to live their.
Your commenting on the internal politics of a place you know nothing about. Just stop embarrassing yourself.

It’s a regional thing.
In other regions the same ethnic groups that you mentioned in your post don’t really rock with Black people like that. Whether they’re light skin dark skin or whatever. They also don’t go around using the N-word like that because if they did it would be a problem. The politics are entirely different.

A lot of y’all on here don’t travel or get out too much. You base everything that you learn about the world on rappers and what they say and do.

You got black Puerto Ricans and Fat Joe isn't one of them. I remember seeing this video with Tego Calderón talking about racism towards black Ricans on the island.
I know some Puerto Ricans that hang blacks and are married to black women and I have never heard them say the n word.

Negro is not the same as nig*er
Umm we are talking about the n word not “negro” even though I’m sure negros root word is niger too.

:snoop: some of us are straight up pathetic, man. Some of us seek validation from people outside of our race that we will allow and make excuses for us to be disparage by our non-black "friends" .
I don't lie on this internet. That was a true story. And I seen many more. This Ecuadorian cat use to say it all the time too but be the main one making dark-skinned jokes and had black dudes laughing. He was another NY cat too so yall can miss me with that HiSpAnIcS iN nY DiFfReNt

Why are so concerned about people who live 500+ miles from your home? You are a southern overly concerned with places and people you don’t know and a culture that is foreign to you. You coming off like a sucker right now.

What do you think this thread is about :beli:
An injustice to black folks in one place in America is an injustice to black folks everywhere else. These nonblacks are growing up thinking it's call to say the word freely :smh: I simply asked how it even got to that point in NY and you, instead of giving an answer, get in your feelings like a hoe and come at me sideways :gucci:

Everyone knows NYC is an outlier in America when it comes to ethnicity. Half the black population are immigrants and over half from Latino population are countries with large black/mixed race populations. There lies your answer. Only place that comes close is Florida but blacks a don’t really vibe much at all down there.

Y’all talk about the same thing all the time on here.

A little off topic....
I am in an area with over 90% wite people....
could be considered a poor area...
lots of mixed kids....
speaking about the teenagers...
blk and mixed...
they bike and play, hangout, smoke with the wite kids....
they seem to not be aware of any color lines in speech...
"suck my dikk N" "step me to me motherfukka" "fukk dat N up"....
they heavy heavy into the drill rap and hip hop....
their older family play rap from 20 years ago...
apparently it is their "culture".....

I imagine that exists all over America....does that exist where you live?
and if so can you then understand the "culture" of the bronx etc with the ricans and dominicans?

The Other A
I have no issue with it but worth noting he uses it way more than anyone you typically heard in conversation on that show. Every sentence…

I noticed that.. I think that might be why this topic resurfaces here a lot too..

He uses it ALOT.. He uses it more than anybody in that room with him... Matter of fact he uses it more than anybody I know

I use it a lot myself but damn :picard:

Its almost like its his favorite word
