You are hilarious. You are completely clueless on the members of the D.I.T.C. and the significance they played in during the hight of what is called The Golden Era of Hip Hop. If Joe was that horrible of an MC he would have never made it into the D.I.T.C. in the first place, especially not during the Golden Era.

All this is besides the facts that he keeps slippin' with disrespect, which I disagree with.

okay dog.....you can post all the YT you want. End of the day, no one cares about Joe or his supposed "contributions" to the art. He's an easily forgotten member of it

He was so forgotten he was in the Verzuz in 2021 and in the D.I.TC. production until recently. You got it.

As I said, this is besides the controversy, which I separate from his body of work.

They mean something to 90s NYC and tri-state nikkas. They was never a factor or influence anywhere else. And Joe wasn't even the nicest in the crew. He's literally the last person I think of when I hear the name DITC. I think of Party Arty or O.Gee before Joe
D.I.T.C. was always dope and I’m a Georgia cat. One of the top crews ever

Fat Joe was mainly an afterthought. Entirely forgettable member of D.I.T.C. and he was never better than Big L, O.C., Show, and AG, Lord Finesse, or Diamond D. They all made (regionally) classic work except him. The only ppl who cared about him were mainly Ricans in the South Bronx and even then it wasn't truly until Big Pun and Terror Squad's arrival that his name started to blow up around the end of the 90s.

To most ppl, he was an afterthought in 90s NYC Hip-Hop. Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Nas, Biggie, Gang Starr, ATCQ, Boot Camp Clik, Jeru, and many other associated acts were the mainstays/heavyweights of Hip-Hop in NYC. Ain't nobody was thinking of no damn Fat Joe :mjlol:.

There's always been this revisionist history of Fat Joe and Big Pun (although a better rapper Joe) being bigger than they were in that era and ppl leading the revisionist tales have always usually been NY Latinos desperate to have an artist of their own up at the top.

I'm a Georgia cat too. I rocked with L, Showbiz/AG, and OC. Never got the appeal of Joe but that's just me :manny:
Didn't claim he was the best MC in the D.I.T.C., but to make it in the D.I.T.C. means something. And from his body of work we can't dismiss Joe as average. People have an issue with him being a PR with mixed heritage. People from outside NY, BX, have to consider the historical context.

man Trina, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow been on a Verzuz in 2021. That shyt means nothing.

You claimed he was no longer relevant. And from that list you've summarized Joe is the only one from the Golden Era to represent the real Hip Hop.

I get the last part, he's just always been wack to me. Maybe wack is too strong a word but he just doesn't resonate with me and he seems like too much of a trend hopper

This has nothing to do with revision, but the fact that Joe was a DITC member. He wasn't the best, which is an opinion to most. To a lot he was, while to some he wasn't. I take any of the DITC members over Joe, but will not dismiss Joe either.

By your reasoning UpTown, KAOS and Tuff Crew was not relevant either?

If he was that wack during the Golden Era, KRS, Showbiz, Primo, Diamond D, Raekwon, Lord Finesse, Kool G Rap, Apache, Gismo, Kieth Kieth, King Sun, Grand Puba etc. wouldn't have worked with him.

What disappoints me is that with all this in the bag he still doesn't get it and keep on slippin'.

This conversation on the B-word and Black women is an imported one. Far too long Black females have been hurt and I stopped using the word over 25 years ago.
