No I don't care... That's the problem. Y'all want people to care suddenly about women being called bytches after 40-50 years of them being called much much worse

No I'm not riding out on the fake outrage train today. Ohhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy goooooooooooooooooood. Fat Joe called some old washed up bytches, some old washed up bytches... Nobody cared when Jay was leaving condoms on the baby seat except his momma.. Nobody cared when Cam told McGriff about his dead mother.. Nobody cared when nikkas was riding on 50's mom for being a gay thug.....

Now I'm supposed to care today, after these nikkas hugged and showed love and it was obviously said in the context of a rap battle?? Nah.. I'm not buying that any of you truly give one fukk about Vita, Mo or any other women in rap... Cause today wouldn't be the first time you'd be speaking on it.

I challenge one person in here to tell me why I should give a fukk about yesterday but not the entirety of rap doing this the entire time...

Lets keep it 4000.... If Fat Joe was black, you nikkas wouldn't be saying a fukking thing. If Vita was white, you wouldn't be saying a fukking thing. When 50 was dissing the fukk out of all those broads, y'all wasn't saying a fukking thing.. When Tupac was clowning Kim, y'all wasn't saying a fukking thing. None of those women spoke a word against the person, yet got dissed for real.. nikkas didn't care and still bump and laugh at the records..

Miss me with the bullshyt

When cam say that about Mcgruff?

this thread is funny, but Joe ain't a culture vulture, he is from the bronx and was around when hip hop first started and was into graffiti (with lord finesse and Diamond D I believe) he really is about this hip hop shyt and his career is crazy. That being said, he went out sad during the verzuz as he doesn't have those hit songs that ja has and the ones he does have it features a hotter artist. What he said about vita and mo was just disrespectful and tasteless, dude was in his feelings.

As far as latinos saying the n word whether in nyc or anywhere else, it's complicated since a lot of the time latinos and blacks grow up right next to each other (especially in nyc, when your building can be have ricans, dominicans and a assortment of black people in it) at the age and level I'm at I kinda don't want to be around anyone who uses nikka so freely. If I was around a latino from nyc who said I would just ask them to not say it around me or to refer to me as such.

Fat Joe was mainly an afterthought. Entirely forgettable member of D.I.T.C. and he was never better than Big L, O.C., Show, and AG, Lord Finesse, or Diamond D. They all made (regionally) classic work except him. The only ppl who cared about him were mainly Ricans in the South Bronx and even then it wasn't truly until Big Pun and Terror Squad's arrival that his name started to blow up around the end of the 90s.

To most ppl, he was an afterthought in 90s NYC Hip-Hop. Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Nas, Biggie, Gang Starr, ATCQ, Boot Camp Clik, Jeru, and many other associated acts were the mainstays/heavyweights of Hip-Hop in NYC. Ain't nobody was thinking of no damn Fat Joe :mjlol:.

There's always been this revisionist history of Fat Joe and Big Pun (although a better rapper Joe) being bigger than they were in that era and ppl leading the revisionist tales have always usually been NY Latinos desperate to have an artist of their own up at the top.

Thats literally what youre trying to do right now. Revision the impact Pun had on NY hip hop. Still till this day, records like "its so hard", "still not a player", and "100%" are still being played on hot 97 and power 105. 20 years after his death and his records are still apart of the sounds of new york. Pun till this day is respected and known as one of the greatest ever from any MC you put in your top 5

Get the fukk out of here, you racist ass "fuk anyone latino" brehs in here been out of control past couple of years. Some of ya are subtle with it, a lot are vocal about it. The prejudice you guys demonstrate on here is comparable to the way racist white people talk about you

Michigan. And I'm not ignorant for understanding Fat Joe is a racist and anti-Black.

Definitions are important -- and he is a Culture-Vulture.

Culture-Vulture: as the descriptor of one who appropriates the art, creativity and style of others, most often for their own benefit (and, at worst, in a way that serves no value to the originators of whatever cultural product, tradition or practice was lifted.)

Nah Honey, you should log-off -- cause sadly you don't know that that Fat Joe is a WHITE MAN (RACE) and WHITE HISPANIC (ethnicity)- whose parents originate (NATIONALITY) from Puerto Rico.

I'm a whole Black woman --with two Black parents - 4 Black Grandparents - and so on.... but I'm a culture-vulture. LOL. Chile stop.

Fat Joe aint brought nothing to hip-hop or rap. He is simply using it for employment. It is what it is.

And thanks - I don't wanna go back and forth. Have a great evening.

yeah we black new yorkers gotta hold that L. fat joe has been using the word nikka since day one & i ain't gonna lie to kick it with yall man i never flinched growing up. it was normal for me to hear puerto rocks use nikka among each other as well as use it in rhymes. where all my old flabby heads at son? we remember the freestyle fanatic "walk like a duck" kurious george who looked whiter than joe and he used nikka all the time

hell get ready for this. buckshot and black moon let a white boy, big dru ha, use the word nikka on the song "u da man" off the debut blassic enta da stage. a white boy b. now that i never liked, ever. i love black moon & boot camp but couldn't fukk with that. so why was i being selective though? it's bad for big dru ha yet it was gucci for fat joe and big pun? nah man i should be ashamed of myself

collectively are we as new yorkers just off code as fukk? lame? sell outs? uncle toms? i dunno but there is no way, and i mean no way, they letting that fly in the south b. no way. project pat lets lil wyte run around saying nikka? lol pat would stomp the fukk out that white boy son. it is what it is

Zimmerman running around the south doing book signings

Yeahhh, kinda this. It's like nowadays anything you say that's disrespectful to a black woman, its BECAUSE she's black. Not a woman who is dusty, fat, sloppy or whatever that just happens to be black.

This is what it is. The "that just happens to be" thing is what alot of people are purposely ignoring. Some of these cats are being stupid just to try to virtue signal.

For example, @papa surf been negging me in different threads this year. If I call him sensitive, weak, etc. then that would be a judgement based on his behavior, not based on his race.

Go make better use of your time by volunteering at a shelter or church. If you already do, double down on it.

it would also be projection…your profile is open so ppl can see I negged you 2-3x…a few months ago, and again recently…don’t say stupid shyt and I don’t neg you…it’s nothing personal or indicative of any feeling other than “do better” :yeshrug:

you’ve been negged 61 other times apart from that but doting on my negs…sounds like you’re the one being sensitive :russ:

People now are mixing up the Latino variable with the history Puerto Ricans in the BX. This Latino variable is from recent years and to my knowledge not something that was in the '70s, '80s and '90s. I see it mostly being perpetuated by people who aren't from the New York.

The movie Wild Style gives a good perspective of what Hip Hop was like back in those days. The executive producer is Fab 5 Freddy.

okay dog.....you can post all the YT you want. End of the day, no one cares about Joe or his supposed "contributions" to the art. He's an easily forgotten member of it

:gucci:

He outlasted most of his peers and a lot of those who came after. He is one of the most respected hip hop figures by both old and new artist.
