Joe one of the true pioneers who don't get his credit. Really set the stage for today's scene in many ways. Put Khaled on, helped out with French. Was the first big NY rapper to really make links with the Florida scene. I'd say Terror Squad more influential than G-Unit, just without getting any credit.

No offense to you, and not to take away from Em's talent. But i feel Joe did the right thing by brushing off Eminem, purely from a cultural standpoint.
Unfortunately for him, Dre looked at it different, and to him he saw money. So in that sense, Joe lost out on another paycheck (he lost out on several paychecks by his own admission: Ross, Pitbull, Walmart deal, etc).

I think that was the raprader podcast, he mentioned Walmart came to him with a "cheap clothing" deal and he turned it down. Could have made millions just sitting at home.

im pretty sure it was just purist hate when he started poppin with them mainstream hits (even though all his mainstream singles be JAMMING...) mixed in with Hov fan hate (I remember growing up as a kid on my stan shyt being indifferent towards Joe sometimes)
