Streams from a song ain't feeding nobody, it's nice to have some income but y'all mentioning "eating" like he just sold out a 50 date tour...nah, he may have gotten enough to to pay this month's mortgage

:snoop:

Use your noodle a little here. How does the average artist with a slave deal monetize a hit record?
So Joe & Remy have a hit, WITHOUT the slave deal. I'm sure the show money is mighty healthy.

Interesting. I was asking in another thread how popular the song was because they were on a promo run like it was a hit. But this don't feel like a hit though. Panda going Plat makes sense, this don't. But salute anyway.

And just how much of a premium do you think this record is adding to his regular show money? Again, it's one hit song...if he were getting 15 a show before, maybe he gets 18 per for the next couple months until he goes cold again, or he gets 3k just to come perform this one song - dude ain't gonna book shytload of full sets off one song...

again, him having this hit is cool, but one recent hit ain't gonna really change anything, now if he builds momentum with a good follow up, that's when the money might start to really multiply.

I'm out West and this song is on 1-2 times per hour, my white coworkers have made it the slogan for our team - the shyt is popping. Joe is also old school so he has the ear of dudes who are 45 on down to 15. The age spread alone is worth more than being huge just among 12-25 years olds (i.e. panda)

Alright, now we're going to marginalize the importance of a hit record when it comes to show money. Isn't it logical to assume you get a lot more promoters calling you when you have a platinum hip-hop single? So you get more shows, more walkthroughs, your price goes all the way UP, etc...
You could have a ton of hits in the past, you can't maintain a strong show demand for too long off of past hit records in hip-hop.
