and this is true for so many people.. some broad who's a friend of friend i met said something similar. she met 3-4 times and i tried to get her to play a song my boy did on youtube.. bytch wouldn't even warm up the computer talking bout "i only listen to nikkas that are signed to real labels.. and not mom and pop label but some real shyt"

it occurred to me then, nobody cares unless you're somebody already.. nobody clicking twitter links of someone they don't know.. cause they see 150 links a day and maybe 5 is from real artists on a real label.

so while i might have a hit today, and the same hit 2 years from now, until i say, i got a hit and i'm signed to bad boy, nobody is gonna listen to it. i know this cause i get the same links and if i don't know the name, i delete that shyt. that same person could be on mtv tomorrow and i'd hear it and say, "hmmmm let me see what else they got"

finally. somebody with some sense.

yes, i must admit, i ignore alot of stuff too. after you hear so much bs, you tend to gravitate towards the more established names, unless the artist is from a city that i favor or theyre down with somebody. and most people are much worst.

i remember i requested a joey bad@$$ song on a local internet radio show months ago. the host was like "who!!?? we cant even say his name on the radio!!"

but i bet the host is probably on joey's top now after seeing the hip-hop awards.
