Fat women want all the benefits of fit attractive women and it peeves them that they have to do ACTUAL WORK to get it. Make up, clothes and weaves are instant gratification. An instant glow up. A year of discipline, diet and exercise is too much.

you need a lot of money to get fat and money also buys you time to eat.
even “cheap” food like McDonalds is expensive. $10 for a fast food meal is a lot of money.

Nah it’s true. Yes Adele is worldwide famous but no one cared about her style or fashion before the weight loss. The talk was always her music and recently her personal life. Now that she’s at an “acceptable weight” she’ll be more in demand. Hollywood loves skinny bishes
Now she’s gonna be asked to be in this fashion magazine, model for this brand etc. Then the weight loss people are gonna try to pull her into their environment. I can already see it happening. As a fan I just want the music

How the hell did being fat become so acceptable? I remember we got a new kid in my first grade class that was fat, and his name became Fat Chris. The second fattest kid was relieved to get the heat off him. Now, being fat is totally normal.

In my opinion her weight was part of her appeal. It made her stand out from her caucasian singing peers.
She made a decision to lose weight, and good for her for taking care of her health, but it will be interesting to see how her next album does now she has alienated some of her fan base.
This is cap as the kids say. Adele was the biggest thing in music when she dropped. Now a lot of bigger black women don’t get that type of love normally but that may be for another thread

This has always been my issue with the masses of black folk who support Adele. Where was that support for Jill Scott and Angie Stone? No one can say Adele sings better than them, yet neither of them will ever see that level of success.

I look at it this way... Lizzio's whole schtick is being the fat chick. Despite Adele also being a big chick & a icon to the crazy body positivity movement too, that wasn't Adele's shtick. So Lizzo gonna get it harder than Adele.

It's interesting she has a realization over something this simple. I guess that's what happens when you stay in the same social bubble for too long.
