Father appreciation thread

Damn I have the best father in the world. I truly believe without him I'd be lost. He has talked with one on one almost every time he sees me. He tells about his childhood and how he fled Somalia. He tells me about his dad, our culture, about life, morals, women. He tells me to never adopt white, black or American culture. He sends money each and every single month of his life to his and my mothers family back home. He instills in me everyday that I am somebody who is better than any other child in the world. He beats me when I have done wrong and I love him for it. He truly thinks I am a perfect son even though I don't feel it. Even when I sometimes bring home terrible grades. He just helps me become better. I hate disappointing him. I want to make him proud.

It's almost a burden for me to live up to what he believes I am. But I will do it.

On a side note... my dad is that dude.... He knows me (and all my silliness) and still has my back 100%.... He just recently caped for me when I changed plans on my mom.... Selfishly I want to leave the country instead of entertaining her and my baby sis in my city

My daddy was my hero man. He passed away 14 years ago and it still feels like we just talked yesterday cause that's how much of an impression he left on me. Him and my momma use to spoil the hell outta us. Learned a lot from them both. to em both but through what i learned from them has made me love being a parent even more than i could have ever imagined

My dads great. Works hard as hell I don't have his work rate whatsoever but taking care of the fam and being smart with his money pushes him on. His demeanor brushed off on me the most, dudes never angry or acts like an emotional woman and still can get his point across. Chicks always ask why I'm never upset by anything... It's my dad yo.
