Tough love is not the problem to me. The need to broadcast it online is the problem. It is performative when you do it for clout, instead of just doing it because it needs to be done and a lesson learned. He has openly embarrassed his son online over something that would have been more effectively done without outside eyes viewing.

I understand the feeling of wanting to do that, I just don't agree with it. I do not agree with coming down to his ignorant son's level, to broadcast his chastisement. Instead, I think it is better to correct in a proper private manner, and then later on have his son go back on, alone, and state to the audience how what he previously did with the guns was idiotic.
