I actually was wondering about this yesterday.

Like Cardi B is SOOOO pushed by the media surely she must have a young female fanbase.

But this chicks WHOLE shyt is based off sex, drama, raunchiness and debauchery. Even with other rap chicks back in the day like Kim, Nicki, Eve etc.

Chicks who also sold sex in their music and were strippers themselves. It wasnt as front and center as Cardi B. They aint have no songs called Wet Ass p*ssy blazing the billboard charts and shyt.

If your daughter came home bumping Cardi B and following her on the gram an shyt how woudl you feel about it? :jbhmm:

Is it just a for gone thing at that point? You let her rock or you try and limit the access she has to that type of celebrity lifestyle/music/subject matter etc etc.

I have twin 14 year olds and I’m so glad they don’t like rap in general .
Not that I could stop them from listening to certain music , but I wouldn’t like it .
My parents hated the music I listened to when I was growing up but they never banned me

It’s alit harder to control what kids listen to. They all have devices. You can control what you play , but if they in they rooms ; they listening to what they want. Best you can do is play good music around them so they have better taste

Nothing u can really do to stop ur kid from hearing whats popular. Can only hope to limit the amount of time they hear that shyt.

Absolutely no megan. Sexy redd, or cardi is allowed to be play in my crib but they going to hear the big songs no matter what u do.

I make an effort to try to introduce my daughter to appropriate music. Most the time she listening to Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, or Billy Elish.

School, friends, play dates , parties, summer camps. You aren’t at everything your 13-15yr old does 24/7 so you can’t stop it. But I wouldn’t knowingly let them listen to it when I’m around them, in the car with them or in my house.

Sure.

I listened to Mobb deep, biggie, Camron, MOP, etc as a kid who said much worse and I brought home A’s and B’s.

Forbidding children to listen to or watch something will guarantee they will rebel against you.

Trust they have the maturity and intelligence to consume media without it taking over their lives
