Sometimes I watch old shows and documentaries and you realize people were much skinnier before

It's like watching an old r&b music video and realizing half the video models were just slim with cute faces

There's just too much access to fast food which makes sense because the daily 9-5 grind makes it hard to try to cook your meals at home or even meal prep

Smh fatphobia.....the more in shape you are, the more in demand you'll be...take notes

Less garbage in the food back then. Also people work longer and are sitting at desks all damn day hen go home and sit at a desk or couch.

Go to certain parts of the world and you won't find cheap American chains.

No KFC, No Mcdonalds, No Burger King, No Subway...

shyt, in one country recently it got ruled that Subway had to be classed as confectionnary because of the amount of sugar in the bread...

And you can see the difference in the peoples health

This is what we get for making unhealthy food more easily accessible and cheaper than healthy food.

This is what we get for not making sports and play a rewarding part of youth and instilling a love of physical activity early in kids.

This is what we get for not investing in subsidized child care so kids can go to day care and eat healthy while parents are at work

And this is is what we get for not teaching teenagers about child development, mental health and parenting early. Our system assumes a 2 parent household with one parent working a max of 40 hours a week who can instill these lessons into their kids. Overworked parents throw a bucket of kfc at a screaming child so they can have a moments peace. The result is a child that associates food as a coping strategy.

Its not a coincidence that this isn't a big problem in countries like Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Germany, Denmark, or Norway.

all those european countries you cited have a huge cycling culture.

Agreed with everything you said except the bolded.

BM (all ages) at least be in the gym on the regular but seeing younger BW in the gym is low-key rare. By far the rarest demographic I see except for Indian folks (M&W).

If we can’t get our people (especially our women) active and moving, it’s a wrap. :francis:
Where do some you nikkas live. I see plenty of black women at the gym I be at :gucci:

FLawda. Same thing in the other states I travel to. Maybe it's just my luck. :ld:

Definitely not seeing "plenty" at any of the 4 or 5 gyms I frequent. If a woman walks in the door, she's least likely to be Indian and then a brehette, in that order. Can't spit without hitting a cacette or spicy cacette. Asian broads be in there representing too.

Not saying they don't go, just that they go less than other demographics (except Indians). :hubie:

Partially because they design their cities for people and not cars. They spend a ton of money on bike lanes, subways and buses. Even parking spots tend to be underground to reduce noise. They actually give a shyt about their people. This extends to spending on Healthcare, pensions, disability benefits, education and housing. Aka the things you need to actually make your society sustainable.
