This was at the height of the EC vs Demigodz beef. Tame One, Apathy, and Louis Logic never got involved. Vast Aire got it the worst in this

This was a scathing diss to all of the top female mcs at the time. The only problem is that it was obvious even then that Shante didn't write it.

addressing Ice Cube, X Clan and others

One of the greatest diss songs EVER!!! He really got at the High & Mighty, Boogieman, and Nottz. The aftermath of the song made Ace look stupid because 1, he was destroyed on stage in a battle with Boogieman twice. The first time he left the stage and didn't respond, the 2nd time he was just beat on for 3 rounds. Doesn't take away from Ace being a legend and lyricist though. The high and mighty diss was unecessary and wrong. I'm all for putting white rappers in their place, but what happened is that the High & Mighty were on stage at a show giving Ace props!!!! They were shouting him out in a song bigging him up. Someone went back to Ace and told him they were dissing him and this was a lie so he pens that verse destroying then and they asked him what the fuk was up and reminded him they were cool and actually hung out while explaining that they NEVER dissed him. :russ: .At the end of the day, Ace was embarrassed because he let his homeboy through miscommunication make him write that track. I don't know who told him, but I heard reports that it was Tone Deff(another dope mc). The sad part is that Ace still performs the song to this day knowing he fukked up and made a mistake.

Masta Ace - "Acknowledge" was the first song that I thought of, but it was posted a few posts up. So I'll go with.....

Jaz-O ANNIHILATED Roc-a-fella on the mic with these disses. I'll never forget State Property's reaction the first time they heard Part 2 on Power 99. Freeway was sounding like Jay on Hot 97 after Ether :mjlol:

Free delivered the line of all lines against Jaz , though

I rank that up there with
" E-I-H-T , now should I continue?"

Strangely, I always thought Willie D wrote that. They were on the same label and she sounds too much like him.
You know what? He probably did ghostwrite it.

He (publicly) said that he was heated over the song at the time, but that could have been to generate controversy

If you notice, in the vid.....the dudes carrying her off have overalls on, like Willie's album cover

Yeah, I KNEW somebody was gonna quote that line here. It's a nice rebuttal for the beef as far as who people think the winner was, but the actual diss tracks were night and day.

Great line and all, but bar for bar, flow for flow, this was like an amateur going up against a grandmaster. Jaz-O EASILY won this battle and showed why none of them were on his skill level as an MC.
